First things first. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the kind comments and emails from the post last week. I feel encouraged and supported from so many others that have been through similar situations. I had a particularly interesting suggestion about seed cycling that I have been looking into and I am thinking of giving a try. The internet is pretty awesome and I will try to share more when I can.
Secondly, I’m starting Advocare’s 24 Day Challenge today!
I’ve been pretty indulgent over the past couple weeks and I am excited to clean up my diet with a structured plan. I have been exercising a lot less and haven’t done much to match the decreased activity with my eating. A couple pairs of my jeans are feeling awfully snug and I can’t say I enjoy it. I have been stalking before and after pictures of people that have done the 24 day challenge for months and I am very impressed. It seems like a REAL food plan that focuses on healthy meals and whole foods and that is just what I need. Goodbye coffee, goodbye wine- See you at the end of November.
Lastly, let’s recap the week because it was pretty awesome.
1. Last Sunday: Bloggers who Brunch. Monica organized a group of Chicago bloggers to enjoy bubbly and brunch at RM Champagne lounge and it was amazing to meet some new ladies.
2. Thursday: Holiday Inn #Changeyourview. I was invited to a fabulous event at a Chicago Holiday Inn and I left with a completely new vision of the brand. Holiday Inn is making moves and I’m very impressed. A full post to come…
3. Oh you know, a little home shopping with Zappos…
God bless shopping on the internet.
4. My mother in law has been in town. That means I’ve had my fair share of glasses of champagne at The Trump. Hence the need for a 24 day cleanse…

5. Birthdays. My husband AND my brother in law had birthdays over the weekend.
Friday night we had people over for burgers and drinks…
Saturday night my in-laws flew in and we all went to Carnivale…
& Sunday night we went to Chicago Cut. I wore a leather skirt and we saw Senator John McCain, so it was a very eventful evening.
Last thing you bought on the Internet? more glasses from Warby Parker.
